Three major mid-range devices Galaxy A33, Galaxy A53 & Galaxy A73 are now getting One UI 6.1 software update. In the new firmware, users can unveil all the latest features of the Galaxy S24 series except the Galaxy AI suite. In the new firmware, users can use features like new widgets for the lock screen, merged Nearby Share with Quick Share, new Gallery features, always-on display options, and many more features in settings & services.
The Galaxy A73 users will get the A736BXXU7EXDC version, and Galaxy A53 users get the A536BXXU7EXDC firmware number. The lower mid-range Galaxy A33 device has received the A336EDXU8EXDD firmware number. All these devices are still running on the previous April security patch, and the company may launch another software for that. The new One UI 6.1 update is now rolling out in all the major countries across all continents. You should check for the new pending version on your Galaxy A phone.
The Galaxy AI features are locked to the premium smartphones, so these mid-range phones will not get their hands on any AI functions. The AI features like Live translation, Circle to Search, Generative Wallpaper, and Generative Edit are all meant for flagship models including the new Galaxy S23 FE. The new Galaxy A35 & Galaxy A55 are also excluded from the exclusive Galaxy AI goodies.
